Mid-western, TAC advance
KATHMANDU: Mid-western Region and Tribhuvan Army Club advanced to the women's category semi-finals of the 15th Men's and 14th Women's National Basketball Tournament under the NSC Championship here on Monday.
Mid-western defeated TAC 45-32 in two-team Group B and topped the pool. TAC, despite losing the match, finished as runners-up. Shanti Shrestha netted 27 points for Mid-western.
In Group A, Western thrashed Eastern 63-8 riding on Sneha Shrestha's 16 points. In men's section, TAC beat Eastern 93-72 in which Sadish Pradhan and Rabin Khatri netted 21 points each. Similarly, Nepal Police Club defeated Mid-western 93-54 riding on Bikash Gurung's 27 points.
