Tranmere, March 17:
Millwall won a place in the FA Cup semi-finals for the first time in 67 years with a 2-1 win over Tranmere.
Goals from Tim Cahill and Neil Harris in the opening 15 minutes helped the London club win its quarter-final replay. The two drew 0-0 on March 7.
Millwall will face fellow division one Sunderland in the semi-final on April 4 at Old Trafford. Arsenal and Manchester United play the other semi the day before at Villa Park in Birmingham.
Cahill scored in the 11th minute from a Danny Dichio cross. Dichio also set up the second, crossing for Harris to volley past Tranmere goalkeeper John Achterberg. Tranmere scored in the 40th minute through Gary Jones.
Millwall is managed by former Chelsea star Dennis Wise, who took over in November when Mark McGhee was fired. The club is pushing for promotion to the Premier League, along with Sunderland.
Millwall made it to the FA Cup semis in 1937, when it lost to eventual winners Sunderland. The final is on May 22 at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
