LALITPUR: Modern Indian School and Crescent Academy English School advanced to the quarter-finals of the 22nd Father Moran Memorial Primary Football Tournament here at the St Xavier’s Godavari School grounds on Saturday.

MIS defeated Jwaladevi Vidya Mandir 3-2 in the day’s league round match.

Rojan Bajracharya, Sabal Maharjan and Rohan Shrestha scored for MIS, while Krishna Bista and Ronish Thapa Magar replied for Jwaladevi. Bedraj Dhungana of MIS was named the man of the match.

Likewise, Crescent beat Dolphin English Secondary School 2-0 riding on goals from player-of-the-match Mohit Tamang and Puspak Rai.
