KATHMANDU: Mohammad Umar Khan and Ujjwal Shrestha won gold medals in the International Taekwondo Championship held in Kolkata, India on Saturday.

On final day, Khan finished first in men’s 45kg category, while Shrestha bagged the gold in 78kg section.

Nepal won a total of 14 gold medals, nine silver and 27 bronze medals in the championship.

Team head coach Roshan Khan was named the best coach. Players from 11 countries, including 58 from Nepal, took part in the event.
