Moto Grand Prix: A beautiful game

Moto GP is a beautiful mould between men and machine. Riders need to be physically and mentally strong to ride these technically superb bikes. The perfect combination between bikes and riders ultimately leads to success.

Races begin from a grid which is composed of three starting positions per row, with starting places secured by qualifying times. The fastest driver in the qualifying earns the pole position. The races can vary between 95-130km in distance and usually lasts 40-45 minutes.

Tyre selection is very crucial in Moto GP and is undertaken by the teams following consultations with their riders, based on their experience, nature of the track, weather conditions, qualifying and warm-up sessions. The participants in each GP are permanent riders, contracted and nominated by their teams for whole season. Each manufacturing company nominates the riders before the Moto GP season. Wild card entries are usually the local drivers.
