Kathmandu, February 16:

Mount Glory, Prithivi School, Gyan Niketan and Himalayan International Ideal entered the boys’ semi-finals of the first Kwiks Greenland Inter-school Basketball Tournament on Thursday.

Likewise, Valley Public, Liceum, Trungram International Academy (TIA) and Shrine advanced to the girls’ semi-finals.

In the boys’ event, Mount Glory beat TIA 19-6 riding on Arun Yonjon’s 11 points. Prithivi crushed Third Eye School 35-7, Gyan Nikentan ousted Deep Jyoti 28-4 and Himalayan Ideal defeated the hosts Greenland 22-15 in other quarter-finals.

In girls’ section quarters, Valley Public beat Gyan Niketan 32-11, Liceum beat Himalayan Ideal 10-6, TIA beat Prithivi 32-13 and Shrine Academy defeated Greenland 28-17.
