National Beach Volleyball in Kavre from December 1

Nepal Volleyball Association is organising the fifth Women’s and sixth Men’s National Beach Volleyball Tournament in Dolalghat of Kavre district from December 1-3.
Kavre District Volleyball Association will take managerial responsibilities of the tournament which will be played at the banks of Sunkoshi river, informed NVA General Secretary Jitendra Bahadur Chand at a press meet today.
A total of 16 teams two each from five development regions and three departmental clubs will take part in the competition to be played in the league-cum-knock out format. The top three position holders in both the categories will receive Rs 25,000, Rs 15,000 and 10,000 respectively.
“We will try our best to make the tournament a grand success. We will provide accommodation and travel facilities to all the participating teams,” said Kavre District Volleyball Association President Tirtha Shrestha.
The organisers informed that the tournament will cost around Rs 1.25 million and the NVA will provide the Kavre district body with Rs 150,000 along with balls and nets. “We will arrange the remaining amount on our own and we have been in talks with local sponsors,” Shrestha said.
