National, Lab enter final

Kathmandu, December 25:

National Campus and Laboratory HS School entered the final of the first Valleywide Twenty-20 Inter-college Cricket Tournament.

National Campus beat DAV by 64 runs and hosts Laboratory beat Cosmopolitan College by seven wickets. The final is slated for Thursday.

In the first semi-final, National Campus scored 151/9 and restricted DAV for 87 runs in 13.1 overs. Man of the match Rupesh Sharma scored a quick fire 59 off 38 balls, while Ashish Byanjankar contributed 27 and Prakash Pariyar made 16 for National Campus. Mohammad Hussain took three wickets for DAV.

Kushal Ghale took 4-16 and Subendu Pandey claimed 2-13 as DAV were all out for 87 in reply. Chandra Gurung top-scored for DAV with 12 runs.

In the other match, Cosmopolitan scored 100/6 while Laboratory reached the victory target losing three wickets in 10.3 overs.

Indra Manandhar top-scored with 23, while Rajan Manandhar made 21 for Cosmopolitan. Bijay KC and Sanjay Shrestha took two wickets for Laboratory.

In reply, man of the match Sanjay Shrestha scored 44 off 22 balls and Rajan Khadgi scored 18-ball 20 for Laboratory. Suman Uday remained unbeaten on 11 runs. Dipson Baskota took two wickets for Cosmopolitan College.
