LALITPUR: Nepal Skating and Skateboarding Association is organising the first National Open Skateboarding Championship at the International Sports Complex here on Saturday.

A total of 45 players including 10 women will take part in the two-day championship, informed the organisers at a press meet on Thursday.

The preliminary selection will be held on Friday with 12 in men’s and four in women’s sections making it to the finals, informed NSSA General Secretary Chudamani Kharel. Top three players will receive Rs 10,000, Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000 respectively, while the best players will be awarded with skateboards with Rs 8,000.
