LALITPUR: Arhant Keshar Singh and Amrit Thapa Magar advanced to the men’s singles final of the third Dhana Laxmi Maharjan Memorial National Squash Tournament here at the International Sports Complex courts on Friday.

Singh defeated Rajendra Shakya and Thapa Magar beat Praveen Bir Singh Kansakar by identical scores of 3-0 in the semi-final matches. In women’s singles semi-finals, Krishna Thapa defeated Bipana Blon 3-1 and Bhawana Sunuwar beat Swasthani Shrestha 3-0. In above-50 masters singles, Dilip Narshing Adhikari and Sudip Bahadur Singh made it to the final.

Adhikari defeated Indra Bahadur Karki 3-1, while Singh beat Suresh Gurung 3-0. In U-15 section, Sapana Blon beat Ayusha Shrestha 2-0 and Muskan Raut defeated Shri Maya Lama by the same scores to make it to the final, while Bikash Magar and Salim Thapa Magar registered 2-0 victories over Rohan Nepali and Rajesh Pariyar respectively in the boys’ section semi-finals. Likewise, Amir Blon and Bijay Magar made it to the U-19 boys’ singles final.
