KATHMANDU: The 33rd Congress of the Asian Football Confederation on Wednesday elected the All Nepal Football Association President Pankaj Bikram Nembang as the AFC Executive Committee Member.
Nembang was elected as the Member of South Zone along with Bassam Adeel Jaleel of Maldives. Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa of Bahrain was re-elected as the President of the Asian football governing body.
Also elected were vice-presidents Hachem Haidar (Lebanon), Mehdi Taj (Iran), Ugen Tsechup (Bhutan), Zaw Zaw (Myanmar) and Ganbaatar Amgalanbaatar (Mongolia). Susan Riyad Abdelrahim Alshalabi (Palestine), Mahfuza Akhter (Bangladesh), Kanya Keomany (Laos) and Han Un Gyong (DPR Korea) were elected as female Executive Committee Members.
Other members elected in the Executive Committee included Abdullah Ahmed Alshaheen Alrabeea (Kuwait), Abdullah Nasser Aljneibi (United Arab Emirates), Irmatov Ravshan (Uzbekistan), Chris Nikou (Australia), Somyot Poompanmoung (Thailand) and Fok Kai Shan Eric (Hong Kong).
