KATHMANDU: Nepali players won two bronze medals in the World Para-taekwondo Championship in Russia on Friday.

Sita Bhandari and Ranjana Dhami won the medals in the fifth edition of the championship Sochi. While Bhandari defeated a Russian opponent to make it to the semi-finals, Dhami had a first-round bye and was drawn directly in the semi-finals.

Both the players lost their semi-final matches against Russian opponents. The Nepali para-taekwondo players have not returned empty-handed since the third edition of world championship.
