KATHMANDU, JANUARY 13
The Nepal national cricket team is ramping up preparations for the ICC T20 World Cup with a comprehensive two-phase training and practice plan.
Following a domestic training camp, the Nepali squad will travel to Sri Lanka for a three-match T20 series against the Sri Lanka 'A' team, scheduled for January 20, 22, and 24. Practice sessions are slated for January 19, 21, and 23, CAN said in press statement.
Next, the team will head to India to face the MCA President's XI in two T20 practice matches. The first game will be a daytime fixture on January 29, followed by a day-night encounter on January 31 at the CCI Ground. Additional practice sessions in India are planned for January 27 and 28.
The ICC T20 World Cup, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, will get underway on February 7. Nepal will open their campaign against England on February 8.
