Nepal triumphed over Australia by 11 runs in the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes tournament match held in Hong Kong.
Winning the toss, Australia opted to field first. Nepal set a total of 111 runs in their 6-over innings, losing only two wickets.
Captain Sundeep Jora showcased his form with a blistering 51 off 16 balls, hitting four sixes and five fours. His opening partner, Lokesh Bam, added a swift 33 off 13 balls, including three sixes and three fours. Contributions of 12 runs each from Bibek Yadav and Rashid Khan further boosted Nepal's score.
Jack Wood claimed two wickets for Australia but could not prevent Nepal from reaching a competitive total.
Chasing 112 for victory, Australia could only manage 100 runs before being bowled out in 6 overs. Jack Wood top-scored with 55 off 16 balls, supported by Alex Ross, who scored 14 off 4 balls.
However, the Nepali bowling attack held firm, led by Pratis GC, who took three wickets in 2 overs and earned the Player of the Match award.
Lokesh Bam and Bibek Yadav took one wicket each.
This marks Nepal's second consecutive win in the tournament, following their victory over England by six wickets in the opening match. With this win, Nepal has advanced to the quarter-finals and will face Sri Lanka in the next round.
The Hong Kong Cricket Sixes is an annual six-a-side international tournament hosted in Hong Kong, featuring between eight and twelve international teams.
