LALITPUR: Nepal national football team will play a friendly match against Bangladesh as part of the preparation for the eighth SAFF Championship to be held in India from December 23 to January 3.

The match will be played in Dhaka on December 17, informed the All Nepal Football Association on Friday.

Nepal will leave for Dhaka on December 15 and will leave for India on December 21. Nepal will also have a three-day camp in Dhaka.

Seven nations  Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Maldives and Afghanistan  are competing in the championship. Pakistan pulled out of the tournament due to the internal conflict.

Nepal are in Group A along with India and Sri Lanka.
