Nepal lost the first unofficial T20 match against visiting Zimbabwe team on Sunday.

In the match held today at the Kirtipur-based Tribhuvan University International Cricket Stadium, batting first, Nepal posted a competitive total of 181 runs in their 20 overs at the expense of five wickets.

Kushal Bhurtel of Nepal made 46 runs off 31 deliveries while Rohit Paudel who faced 26 balls made 36 runs.

However, Zimbabwe A managed to chase the total in 18.5 overs at the expense of four wickets.

Tadiwanashe Marumani (51 off 41 deliveries) and skipper Tony Munyonga (50 off 23 deliveries) each made half-ton contribution to the team's winning efforts.

Meanwhile, Innocent Kaia fell three runs short of his half-century.

Nepal is scheduled to lock horns with Zimbabwe A yet again at the same venue tomorrow.

Three T20 matches and three ODIs will be contested between hosts Nepal and visiting Zimababwe A as part of Zimbabwe's tour.
