KATHMANDU: Nepal finished second in the 3rd South Asian Futsal Championship that concluded in Sri Lanka on Monday. Nepal lost to hosts Sri Lanka 1-2 in the final. Nepal had taken the lead with a goal from Subhash Ghalan in the 7th minute of the match. However, they failed to protect the lead and went down after facing two quick goals in the final moments of the match. Nepal had defeated India 5-0, Maldives 3-2 and Pakistan 9-0 to make it to the final. Five countries, including Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Pakistan,  had taken part in the tournament.
