LALITPUR, FEBRUARY 12

Nepal Police Club defeated Chandrapur Municipality 3-0 in the Women's National League here at the ANFA Complex grounds today.

Srijana Khadka, Nirmala BK and Rekha Poudel scored for the departmental side.

With their fourth win, NPC accumulated 14 points from nine matches and are at the fourth place behind Waling Municipality on head-to-head basis. Chandrapur remained at the sixth position with six points.

Khadka opened the scoring in the seventh minute, while BK doubled the tally nine minutes into the second half. Poudel sealed the victory with the team's third goal in the 85th minute. The Rautahat-based Chandrapur Municipality created a couple of scoring opportunities but the forwards failed to convert them.

Nepal APF Club, who have maintained their winning streak to eight matches, are at the top of the table with maximum 24 points, while fellow departmental side Tribhuvan Army Football Club are second with 22 points. On Saturday, leaders APF will take on Waling Municipality, while Biratnagar Metropolitan City will play against Chaudandigadhi Municipality.
