Nepal team off for Kabaddi World Cup

MORANG: A 13-member Nepali women's team along with two coaches have left Kathmandu today for India to participate in the World Cup Kabaddi Championship.

The country is participating in the championship for the fourth time. The three-day World Cup is taking place at Faridabad in India from January 15.

At a programme organised Wednesday evening, lawmaker Amrit Aryal and office-bearers of the District Sports Development Committee bade farewell to the team. Athletes from 37 countries including Nepal, India, China, the USA and Bangladesh would participate in the championship.

Nepal had won the bronze medal in the World Cup Kabaddi Championship held in India last year.
