KATHMANDU: Nepal bagged silver medal in the President Cup Baseball Tournament held in Guwahati, India.

Nepal faced an 18-4 defeat at the hands of India in the final of the tournament. Earlier, Nepal had made it to the final with a 24-4 victory over Bangladesh.

Sagun Khichaju of Nepal was named the best catcher of the tournament. Pradeep Kumar Khatri was the team leader, while Deepak Neupane was the team manager. Anil Pariyar was the team captain, while Khadak Bista was his deputy.

Jeevan KC and Roshan Thapa were the coaches.

Meanwhile, President of Jhapa District Sports Development Committee Shankar Thapa welcomed the team in Jhapa.
