Nepali athletes clean
KATHMANDU: The Nepali athletes who took part in the 2016 Olympic Games were clean, said team doctor. “A total of eight players were tested for doping before the Games and the reports said all the athletes are clean,” said Dr Saroj Krishna Shrestha, President of Medical Commission at the Nepal Olympic Committee. In all, seven players from five sports disciplines took part in the Olympic Games held in Rio de Janeior from August 5-16, while two players have reached Brazil to compete in the Paralympic Games to be held from Wednesday. “As per the reports received from Doping Control Lab, the reports of all the eight Nepali athletes are negative,” said Dr Shrestha.
