KATHMANDU: A 15-member Nepali badminton team on Sunday left for India to participate in the Sushant Chipalkatti Memorial India Junior International Badminton Championship to be held in Pune from September 1-4. Nabin Shrestha, Gautam Kathayet, Nir Bikram Devkota, Rupesh Maharjan, Sunil Joshi, Sujan Shrestha, Praful Maharjan and Prince Dahal will play in boys’ section, while Jessica Gurung, Megha Chand, Rasila Maharjan and Sima Rajbanshi are in girls’ category. Coach Meghraj Kathayet and team manager Narayan Dahal also accompanied the players to India. The players will take part in singles, doubles and mixed doubles events.
