KATHMANDU: A six-member Nepali team on Sunday left for Dhaka to participate in the 31st Bangladesh Amateur Open to be held at the Kurmitola Golf Club from January 4-7.

Players Sukra Bahadur Rai, Tanka Bahadur Karki, Prithivi Malla and Tenzing Tshiring will take part in the competition. Nepal Golf Association General Secretary Tashi Ghale is the coach. NGA President Madhukar Yakthumba accompanied the team to Dhaka to attend a meeting of the South Asian nations’ golf chiefs. The meeting is likely to form SAARC Golf Federation.
