Nepali U-19 team to go to B’desh

Kathmandu, December 31:

The Nepali Under-19 cricket team, at the closed camp for the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup to be held in Malaysia from February 10, is scheduled to go to Bangladesh to play practise matches.

The Nepali side, which is preparing for the fifth straight Under-19 World Cup, was invited by the Bangladesh Cricket Board to play three one-day matches from January 22-28, said Cricket Association of Nepal on Monday.

Meanwhile, CAN also formed the Regional Cricket Development Committee in Region No 1 (Biratnagar) under the presidentship of its vice president Shree Harsha Koirala. Sailesh Kumar Chaudhary and Naresh Kumar Shrestha are the vice presidents of the 21-member committee, while Niranjan Prasad Rijal is the secretary and Rabin Dahal the treasurer.
