Nepal's Ajay Pandit wins Yak Attack 2015 cycle race

LAMJUNG: Nepal's Ajay Pandit became the winner of Yak Attack 2015, an international cycle race, held in Annapurna Circuit, the world-famous trekking trail.

As many as 30 participants of various countries took part in the competition.

Peter Butt of Australia secured second position while Narayan Gopal Maharjan and Ayaman Tamang of Nepal finished in third and fourth positions respectively.

The competition that started from Shivapuri of Kathmandu on November 7 concluded after reaching Tatopani of Myagdi on November 17.

According to Dipen Pradhan of Yeti Travels, people from India, America, Sweden, Japan, Bhutan, Korea and Britain took part in the race.

The winner of the race, Pandit, received cash prize of Rs 300,000.

Participants covered a total of 445 kilometres  in 10 days.
