Papua New Guinea (PNG) has claimed the One Day International Series (ODI) after defeating Nepal for the second time in a span of two days.
In the match held today at the Tribhuvan International Cricket stadium, Nepal, batting first, had posted a target of 279 runs which the visiting team surpassed in their 48.4 overs at the expense of seven wickets.
Among the winning total of 283 runs resgistered by PNG, Lega Saika contributed the most with his 90 runs off 102 deliveries.
Meanwhile, Dipendra Singh of Nepal struck a century to no effect as he managed to post 105 runs of 140 deliveries faced.
In the earlier held ODI match against PNG on Friday, Nepal had lost by six runs.

This was the first time that an One Day International was hosted by Nepal.
