KATHMANDU: Nepali players dominated the 21st International High School Karate Championship here on Sunday. New Lira claimed the team championship with 12 gold medals, while India’s Youth Sports Karate came second. Sai Girish of India and Alisha Lama of Nepal were declared the best players of the championship. Around 500 players from four countries took part in the two-day event at the National Sports Council covered hall. Former Member Secretary of NSC Yubaraj Lama and President of Nepal Karate Federation Dawa Gurung among others handed over the prizes to the winners.
