BARA: Bagmati Province won the team championship of the Nijgadh City Cup Martial Arts Festival here on Thursday.
Nirajan Dimbam won the men's open ITF Taekwondo gold medal, while Mission Tamang came second and Ashish Shrestha was third. In the women's open full contact karate section, Tara Ghalan won gold and Nisida Ale came second.
While Sneha Mahato and Sonu Tamang finished joint third. Top three players in both sections earned Rs 50,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively.
A total of 132 players and officials from all seven provinces took part in the three-day event organised by Nepal Taekwondo Federation under the auspices of Nepal National Martial Arts Games Federation and Nijgadh Municipality.
