KATHMANDU: Nepal Swimming Association on Friday organised various programmes to mark the World Aquatics Day. The NSA is celebrating the Day from July 15-18 with programmes in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Biratnagar, Itahari and Nepalgunj.

National Sports Council Member Secretary Ramesh Kumar Silwal hoisted the national flag at the International Sports Complex to open the celebrations, while NSA President Ashok Bajracharya hoisted the FINA flag. Earlier, NSC Member Secretary Silwal inaugurated the gym centre established for swimmers on the heated-swimming pool premises.

According to Bajracharya, the gym centre was established with the financial support from the international swimming federation.
