NNIPA submits report

Kathmandu, March 27:

Nepal National and International Players’ Association (NNIPA) President Deepak Bista submitted the 26-point suggestion report to the National Sports Policy Draft Taskforce Convenor Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan here today.

The NNIPA had organised a seminar to collect the suggestions from the former and current national and international players on February 1.

Bista demanded the points suggested by the NNIPA be included in the National Sports Policy and implemented as well. “We hope this time the suggestions will not be limited to paper and implemented for the benefit of the players,” he added.

Accepting the report, Pradhan assured the NNIPA of including the suggestions in the Policy and recommending the government of implementation. “The NNIPA has done a lot of hard works in preparing the report and I found they are concerned with the welfare of the sportspersons,” he added.

The NNIPA are more focused on the monetary aspects and secured future for the medal winners in international tournaments. They have also demanded free health and education for the players.
