Nepal Police Club thrashed Ruslan Three Star Club 4-0 and advanced to the semi-finals of the 19th Aaha-Rara Gold Cup here at the Pokhara Stadium on Tuesday.

Buddha Bal Tamang opened the scoring for NPC in the 28th minute and the departmental team added three more goals in the second half to send the Bagmati Gold Cup champions Three Star packing from their first match.

Three Star had won the Bagmati Gold Cup in Makawanpur on Monday. Tej Tamang doubled the tally in the 73rd minute before Buddha Bal Tamang netted his second goal in the 73rd minute.

Soujan Rai completed the rout with the team's fourth goal five minutes before the end. The seven-time champions NPC will face African Roots Association in the semi-finals on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Machhindra FC will face Sankata Club in the first semi-final match.
