KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 25

Karan KC's scintillating performance with both bat and ball propelled Kathmandu Gorkhas to a 22-run victory over Lumbini Lions under the lights at the TU Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur today.

With this crucial win, the Gorkhas collected two more points to climb to third place in the eight-team table, recording two victories and two losses from four games.

After losing the toss, Kathmandu Gorkhas were asked to bat first and posted a competitive total of 157/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Karan KC played a gem of an innings lower down the order, smashing an unbeaten 34 off just 11 balls, including four towering sixes and a boundary.

In response, Lumbini Lions were bowled out for 135 in 19.1 overs, suffering their second defeat in three matches at a full-house arena. Man of the Match Karan KC also contributed with the ball, taking a wicket, while other bowlers shared the remaining eight wickets among them.

In tomorrow's fixture, the undefeated Biratnagar Kings will take on Chitwan Rhinos under the lights at the same TU Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur.
