LALITPUR: New Road Team inched closer to the top flight after thrashing Tushal Youth Club 4-0 in the Martyrs Memorial B Division League here at the ANFA Complex grounds on Sunday.

Sushil Lama, Ashok Thapa, Prabin Kumar Saiju and Pradeep Gurung scored a goal each for NRT.

NRT accumulated 25 points from 12 matches and moved up the table on superior goal difference after being tied with Chyasal Youth Club, who are assured of promotion regardless the results of the remaining matches.

Satdobato Youth Club, who have 22 points, are also in the race and will face NRT in the decider on Tuesday.

In day’s another match, Bansbari Club defeated Pulchowk Sports Club 3-1. Binod Gurung scored a brace, while Bivek Gurung netted a goal for Bansari. Kamal Thapa scored the consolation goal for Pulchowk.
