NSC seeks clarification from ANFA within three days
Kathmandu, November 18
The National Sports Council (NSC) today asked the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) to furnish clarification on three issues.
The NSC move came a day after Ethics Committee of the world football governing body, FIFA, banned ANFA President Ganesh Thapa for 10 years from all football related activities and fined 20,000 Swiss Franc. In a letter sent by NSC Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista, the sports governing body instructed ANFA to send the official documents of FIFA within three days.
NSC has also asked ANFA to inform about the procedures of appointing Acting President and the decision taken by ANFA after Thapa was banned. NSC has asked ANFA not to take any strategic decision until further instruction from the ruling body.
