Kathmandu, December 10:

A former CR Vasco da Gama footballer Flavio Couto Dos Santos, 38, arrived here today to lend some footballing tips to the players of Nabil Three Star Club.

The Brazilian, who has taken various top class trainer’s course under the likes of former World Cup winning Brazilian national team coach Carlos Alberto Parreira and fomer Brazilian internationals Jorginho, Emerson Leao and Carlos Alberto Torres, volunteered to look after the Nepali top flight club for the next one month.

“He (Santos) is here initially for a month to observe our football,” said Three Star president Lalit Krishna Shrestha, adding that the Brazilian’s prolonged stay largely depends on his demands and the club’s ability to meet those demands. Shrestha also added that one of the motives of the Brazilian’s visit was to look at a prospect of opening an academy here.
