Open Snooker C’ship

KATHMANDU: Pot Black Snooker Club is organising the All Nepal Open Snooker Championship in Sanepa, Lalitpur from December 30 to January 13 next year.

A total of 128 players will take part in the championship to be played under knockout format, informed tournament coordinator Suresh Dangol here at a press meet on Sunday.

The winner and runner-up will take home Rs 100,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively, while the two losing semi-finalists will get Rs 15,000 each.

The highest breaker will be awarded with Rs 10,000. “We want to spread positive messages about the game and make it professional through the tournament,” said Dangol.

Organising committee President Nawaraj Tuladhar said the tournament would be better and bigger from next edition.

Former national champion Saroj Mukar Mulmi is the advisor of the event.
