Pakistan post 327-run target to Nepal in practice match

KATHMANDU: Pakistan have posted a target of 327 runs to Nepal in the practice match being played at Abu Dhabi of United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday.

Winning toss, Nepal had invited Pakistan to bat first. Top-ranked Pakistan made 326/6 runs in 50 overs.

Opener Azhar Ali top-scored 73 runs off 73 for his team before he retired out in 28 overs.

Shoaib Malik contributed 63, Mohammad Hafeez 49, Babar Azam 43, Younis Khan 38, Ahamed Shezad 35, Anwar Ali 11 and Sarfraz Ahmed 2. Nepal gave 12 extras.

Basant Regmi took two wickets, while Paras Khadka and Sagar Pun claimed one apiece.

Pakistan lost their first wicket as opener Shehzad was dismissed by Regmi. Sagar Pun sent Mohammed Hafeez back to the pavilion in 28.2 overs.

Sompal Kami bowled for five overs and made a maiden over. Likewise, Basant Regmi also made one maiden over in his nine-over bowling.
