POKHARA: Paraglider Yukesh Gurung and karateka Susmi Shrestha won the Player of the Year awards at the fourth TVS Apache Pokhara Sports Award here on Friday.

Gurung received TVS Apache motorcycle, while Shrestha got Wego scooter along with Samsung mobile phones. Shooter Shreya KC won the Popular PoY award, while cricketer Arjun Kumal was named the emerging player and Deepak Godar bagged the best coach award.

They earned Rs 25,000 each. Former boxer Chitra Bahadur Gurung was honoured with lifetime achievement award and Binod Lamichhane was named the best journalist.

They got Rs 20,000 each. Kaski District Basketball Association was named the best association.
