Khadka to become goodwill ambassador

KATHMANDU: National Volunteer Nepal is set to appoint National cricket team skipper Paras Khadka as its first Goodwill Ambassador.

National Volunteer Nepal is the body under Himalayan Climate Initiative that deploys volunteers in relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts. HCI’s head of communication Sirsha Risal informed that Khadka agreed to be Goodwill Ambassador of the initiative as the national team skipper was also interested in similar activities. Khadka will not receive any benefit from National Volunteer and is expected to dedicate himself in increasing and strengthening the networks in the country.

Khadka, who missed Nepali team’s tour of India due to health reasons, will join the team during the ICC World Cricket League Championship matches against Kenya slated to be held at the TU Stadium on March 11 and 13.
