Paresh shines as CCRC win

Paresh Lohani scored an unbeaten century as Capital College and Research Centre (CCRC)

‘A’ thrashed NCE by 117 runs in the day’s match of the second CCRC Inter-college Cricket Tournament here at Laboratory School ground. Batting first, CCRC accumulated 247 runs losing two wickets in their allotted 25 overs, riding on Lohani’s 117 and Mehboob Alam’s 64. Opener Lohani struck 19 fours and a six in his 86-ball innings. Other opener Alam scored a quick fire 64 off just 29 balls including three boundareis and five sixes. Pawan Das scored 14 off 11 and Bikash Dali remained unbeaten on 38 off 26 balls hitting three fours and a six.

For NCE, Kripesh Adhikari and Rohit Chhetri claimed one wicket each. In reply, NCE failed to reach the revised target of 207 in the rain-affected match and were packed off for just 89 runs. Except, openers Rabindra Shrestha (20) and Rohit Chhetri (33) and wicketkeeper Aashish Joshi, who scored an unbeaten 15, others failed to reach the double figure mark.

For CCRC ‘A’, Abhaya Rana took 3-30 off four overs, while Raj Shrestha pocketed 2-4 off five overs and Mehboob Alam, Rom Shrestha and Sanjam Regmi grabbed one wicket each.
