LALITPUR: The All Nepal Lawn Tennis Association has picked up four women players for the upcoming 12th South Asian Games.

After the round robin tournament among eight players, top four were picked for the regional sports extravaganza to be held in India in February next year.

Era Raut finished first in the selection tournament with seven wins in as many matches, while Ganga Sharma came second with six victories. Likewise, Bibhuti Karki and Bijisha Shrestha were third and fourth with five and four wins respectively.

The eight-member squad will be finalised on Monday following the selection of four players in men’s section.

ANLTA is sending women players to SA Games for the first time, while the men’s team is participating after the gap of two decades.
