LALITPUR: A nine-member Nepali tennis team is on Wednesday leaving for Thailand to prepare for the 12 South Asian Games.

Samrakchyan Bhusan Bajracharya, Shree Ram Magar, Kamal Bhandari, Ganga Sharma, Bhibhuti Karki and Bijisha Shrestha are the players selected for next month’s regional games to be held in India.

Abhishek Bastola will join the team from USA, while Ira Rawat is already in Thailand. Coaches Renu Devi Konda, Shristi Shrestha and Jitendra Pariyar will accompany the players to Bangkok.

Nepal Olympic Committee President Jeeevan Ram Shrestha, General Secretary Lama Tendi Sherpa and President of All Nepal Lawn Tennis Association Jyoti Rana bade farewell to the team.
