POKHARA: Sachit Pradhan of Kalimati Friendship Gym defended

the Mr Himalaya Bodybuilding Championship crown here today.

Sachit sidelined six other competitors in the final round to win a back to back titles. Pradhan also received Rs 100,000 along with being declared the brand ambassador of the Panchakanya Group. Pradhan had qualified for the overall championship — Mr Himalaya — as the winner of the 60kg weight category.

Shyam Shrestha of Nepal Byayam Mandir (NBM), winner of the 70kg, stood second and took home Rs 50,000 prize. Gyan Narayan Maharjan of NBM, the winner in the 65kg category, ended up third and won Rs 40,000 while Kiran Shrestha of the Perfect Gym, winner in the 80kg category, finished fourth to earned Rs 30,000.

Dayaram Diwakar of Desperado Gym (55kg category winner), Arjun Barnawal of Birgunj Swimming Pool (75kg category winner) and Sunanda Raj Shakya of the Royal Gym (Above-80kg) rounded up for the top seven finishes to receive Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively.

Winners of the seven weight categories were drawn for the Mr Himalaya battle.

Kaski district organised the event in coordination with the Nepal Bodybuilding and Fitness Association.
