Prajjwal Pradhan defeated Sudip Bahadur Singh 3-1 and entered the Men’s Open final at the Open Squash Championship, which has been organised by Nepal Squash Rackets Association to mark the 59th birthday of King Gyanendra. In Sunday’s final, Pradhan will meet Anil Singh who routed Pravesh Maharjan 3-0 in the other semi-final. In Masters’ Open section, Dilip Adhikari beat Lal Bahadur Gurung 3-2 and Ajay Singh eliminated Ratna Kaji Shakya 3-0 to enter the semi-finals, while Pramod Shrestha made it to the last eight defeating Lokendra Man Singh 3-0. In Boys’ Novice category, Gyanu Chaudhary beat Sourav Khetan 3-0 and then eliminated Dibesh Shrestha by the same margin to enter the knock-out round. According to tournament director Suresh Kumar Gurung, the finals — originally scheduled for Saturday — have been postponed to Sunday due to some unavoidable circumstances.
