Pravat advance to final
Kathmandu, June 13:
Pravat Secondary School edged out Gyanodaya Secondary School 4-3 in tie breaker after a goalless draw to make it to the Group G final at the selection tournament for the Coca-Cola Inter-school National Football Tournament here today.
Budhanilkantha School cruised to a 4-0 victory over Manohar Secondary School to advance to the semi-finals of the Group G. Ritu Raj Sunuwar gave Budhanilkantha the lead early in the sixth minute before Abhisekh Thapa added the second in the 11th and Rahul Malla the third in the 14th minute. Surya Gurung completed the rout scoring yet another for Budhanilkantha in the 68th.
Likewise, Bajra Barahi Secondary School and Gyanodaya Bal Batika also advanced to the last eight in Group H after today’s matches. Bajra Barahi edged out New Summit Boarding School 2-0. Bijay Tamang scored in the ninth and Jivan Deshar doubled Bajra Barahi’s tally in the 48th minute.
Gyanodaya Bal Batika hammered Vision Academy 6-0. Jagat Singh scored first of the two goals in the fifth and 30th minute before Sumin Ale added another in the 33rd and Sunil Lama made it 4-0 in the 55th. Pratik Jagi Banjhar and Sudeep Injap also joined the Gyanodaya’s goal feast scoring in the 66th and 68th respectively.
On Saturday, it’s: Continental Academy vs Ghanten Chamling School, Lalitpur Academy vs Little Flower, Vaishnavi vs Paropakar, and Nepal Rastriya Higher Secondary School vs Bhaktapur Boarding English School.
