LALITPUR: Prime College, Newa ‘B’ and Jubilant advanced to the boys’ section quarter-finals of the first U-18 Angels Heart Cup Basketball Tournament here on Thursday.

Prime defeated Rising Star 45-19 riding on 16 points from Prajjwal Maharjan, while Satish Lama netted 18 points as Newa beat Morgan International College 48-47.

Likewise, Jubilant outplayed Trinity International College 43-28 in which Dipeshwor Shah top scored for the winners with 12 points.

In another match, Newa ‘A’ overwhelmed Gyan Niketan 76-39 riding on Abhishek Singh’s 13 points.

In girls’ round robin league, Saipal Academy registered their second straight victory defeating hosts Angels’ Heart 50-32 riding on 12 points from Pratikshya Magar.
