LALITPUR: Province-3 won the team championship of the National Taekwondo Tournament here on Sunday.

Hosts Province-3 claimed eight gold, five silver and seven bronze medals to finish first, ahead of Province-2, who bagged five gold, six silver and three bronze medals.

Farwest finished third with three gold, four silver and four bronze medals. Bikrant Dangol of Province-2 and Susmita Tamang of Province-3 were declared the best players in men and women sections respectively.

Nepal Police IG and vice-president of Nepal Taekwondo Association Sarbendra Khanal and Chief of NTA Province-3 Committee Keshav Puri handed over the prizes to the winners of the tournament.
