Nepali professional golfer Sukra Bahadur Rai made his first cut in the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) in Ahmedabad on Wednesday.

After opening the Glade One Masters campaign with one-under 35 on Tuesday, Rai shot a threeover 39 in the second round at the Glade One Resort and Club.

He dropped 25 places down to share the 34th position with 11 others but survived the cut which was applied at three-over 75.

The first two rounds of the event were played over nine holes each, while the golfers will play 18 holes each in the third and fourth rounds. Rai, who earned the PGTI full card in the Qualifying School last month, is competing in the second event of the debut season.

He missed the cut in his first PGTI event, the Gujarat Open from February 22-25 in Ahmedabad.
