KATHMANDU, MAY 01

The ongoing final between Nepal and United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been halted for the second time due to rain.

The hosts, Nepal won the toss and decided to field first. So far, UAE has managed to put up 106 runs in 27.3 overs at the loss of nine wickets before the downpour stalled the game for the second time today.

Earlier, when UAE had scored 60 runs in 16 overs losing five wickets, the game had to be paused consequential to the rain.

The champions of the ACC Premier Cup will contest in the Asia Cup slated for September this year in Pakistan. Hence, both Nepal and UAE are keen on winning the finals with hopes of earning a berth in the Asia Cup 2023.

Meanwhile, on Sunday Oman secured third place at the expense of Kuwait on the basis of seeding, qualifying to contest in the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
