LALITPUR: Women and Sports Commission of Nepal Olympic Committee felicitated former badminton champion Rajdevi Manandhar and sports administrator Lalita Paneru at a programme organised to mark the 109th International Women’s Day.

NOC President and Member of Parliament Jeevan Ram Shrestha and Women and Sports Commission President Jyoti Rana handed over felicitation letters and Rs 25,000 each to Manandhar and Paneru. Manandhar is a legendary badminton player who joined the sport in 1971, while Paneru is the oldest employee at the National Sports Council. The Commission also organised a panel discussion on Chaupadi.
